Job Summary
Under direct supervision, assists with inventory, warehousing, issue and delivery of the agency’s supplies.  Receives, stores, and issues supplies and safeguards records for department.  Delivers and picks up documents and materials and drives YWCA vehicle for movement of fixed asset items.

Key Responsibilities
Inspects items received to ensure that they match invoices.   Ensures that MDS sheets have been received on all chemicals in stock.  Receives YWCA intranet picking ticket, pulls material and stages it for delivery.  Issues and delivers supplies to various program locations from warehouse.  Picks-up and delivers fixed asset items and other materials to and from program locations.  Conducts courier route to routinely pick up internal YWCA courier items.   Ensures that warehouse is kept clean, neat and organized at all times.  Safely operates agency delivery vehicle under specific and detailed instruction, ensuring YWCA policies and procedures for transportation are followed at all times.  Maintains logs of mileage, destination, fuel and pickup and delivery times to and from program. Ensures vehicle is clean, fueled, safe and mechanically sound at all times. Responsible to report any problems, difficulties, repairs, maintenance needs or violation of transportation policies and procedure immediately. Reports all incidents to designated individual.

Education
High school graduate or equivalent required.

Experience
One (1) year experience in receiving, storing and issuing materials, supplies and equipment, stocking material; or any equivalent combination of experience and training that provides the required knowledge skills, and abilities.

Other Requirements
Knowledge of warehousing practices and procedures preferred. Knowledge of inventory practices and controls preferred.   Knowledge of safe working practices.  Must be able to process routine receipts and order forms.   Must be able to make sound decisions.  Must be mobile in a warehouse environment.  Must be able to lift, move and carry items over 50 lbs.  Must be able to establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers. Requires good organization skills, initiative and flexibility.  Conducts self in professional manner at all times in all interactions.   Must have valid driver’s license with good driving record, access to a vehicle and sufficient liability insurance.  Must maintain a good driving record and notify supervisor of any change to personal driving record, including moving violations.   Must successfully pass in-house van certification training before driving vehicles.  Familiarity with area geography and ability to read maps and follow directions required.  Must be able to read, write and communicate in English.
