Job Summary
Under direct supervision, and with the assistance of a lead Accounting Clerk, prepares monthly billings and performs primary accounting duties of department.

Key Responsibilities

* Regular attendance at Employer’s place of business and/or during particular hours, as assigned, is an essential function of this position.
* Meets with applicants to Rapid Rehousing and conducts the application process and program eligibility, both onsite and scattered site apartments. * Assists the RRH applicants in the housing search and dialogue with landlords. * Assists the RRH applicants in their current household budgets, forecasts their future budget and ensures new unit will be reasonable in the client’s household budget. * Meets with landlords to discuss terms of rental agreements, conduct inspections and inform landlords about Rapid Rehousing Program; this is followed by submission of all necessary paperwork for the rental assistance. * Enters participant data into HMIS on a daily basis to include data at entry, at exit, status entries and referrals for all participants. * Secures all forms and paperwork necessary to enter data into HMIS. * Attends HMIS Steering meetings on a monthly basis and participates in the improvement of the HMIS system. * Gathers statistical information on program services produced by HMIS to meet grant requirements. * Assures YWCA and TLC policies and procedures are followed. * Assists case managers with the assembly of participant files, closing of files upon participants exit from the program and filing. * Assists with the analysis and determines the accuracy of other sources of information within the program, such as income changes or household changes as compared to HMIS data. * Executes duties listed above, within the scope of a secondary rental assistance program, Homeless Housing and Services Program (HHSP), during the HHSP Grant Term. * Assists Director of Homeless Programs with in-house audits of case files. * Assists case managers in the preparation for external audits. * Covers front desk duties as needed and maintains confidentiality. * May be asked to assist program applicants when they cannot fill out paperwork

Education
High School graduate or equivalent required.

Experience
Minimum one-year experience providing excellent administrative/clerical support.
