Job Summary
The Strategic Research Director will report directly to the Chief Strategy Officer (CSO) and will be responsible for assisting the organization in achieving its strategic objectives through research, outreach and gathering accurate, credible information on a variety of topics. This individual must also summarize findings to support the work of the agency. This position will require a focused and detail-oriented individual to aid in the research of statistical and market driven information. This information will include but is not limited to current and future trends by preparing interviews, reports and summarizing results. The selected candidate will have excellent analytical, presentation, listening and people skills. The candidate will also provide support related to business development initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Regular attendance at Employer’s place of business and/or during particular hours, as assigned, is an essential function of this position. Prepare reports and presentations. Perform literature reviews. Prepare progress reports. Conduct detailed searches using Government and open source databases. Communicate with stakeholders to understand and support their research and analysis needs. Respond to requests for information to search databases. Analyze market dynamics, market share changes, and competitive intelligence. Analyze, interpret and evaluate retrieved information and report to requester. Conduct research and summarize findings. Respond to emails relating to research. Conduct data entry, review and maintain database integrity. Prepare reports of factual data and contribute to larger reports, statistical compilations or intelligence publications. Performing other duties as assigned.
Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management, Business Administration, Non-Profit Management, Public Administration, Mathematics/Statistics or closely related field required. Master’s Degree in Business Management, Business Administration or closely related field preferred.
Experience
Three (3) years of working experience in a strategy position in a nonprofit environment, preferably as support personnel for Strategy Management or any equivalent combination of education, experience, and training that will provide the necessary knowledge, skill and abilities to perform the functions of the position.
