YWCA Rates for Veterans, Dependents, and Surviving Spouses
For more information or to get started, please contact Celene Gomez at firstname.lastname@example.org!
With the support of Texas Veterans Commission, YWCA provides special rates to veterans, veteran dependents, and surviving spouses. ALL veterans, dependents, and surviving spouses, regardless of income or discharge status, are eligible to receive special rates at YWCA Early Learning Academies, After School Programs, and Fitness and Aquatics Centers. This program goes into effect on July 1, 2020.
Veteran status will be verified prior to registration in a program. This can be done through a military ID, DD Form 214, Discharge Certificate, and other forms of identification. For more information and to begin the verification process, please contact Celene Gomez at 915-519-0000 ext. 1114.
Early Learning Academies
YWCA Early Learning Academies offer comprehensive services for children ages 0-5 at nine locations around El Paso. We offer a fun, creative, and educational curriculum to prepare our students for school and have integrated an emotional and behavioral health curriculum throughout our locations.
After School Programs
Located on more than 40 elementary school campuses, YWCA’s After School Programs keep students engaged and active from the time the bell rings until 6 pm. The programs are ideal for working parents and guardians but are also beneficial to students. YWCA After School Programs offer homework assistance, STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) games and challenges, a literacy-based curriculum, USDA-approved snacks, physical activity, and more!
Fitness and Aquatics Centers
YWCA offers family and individual memberships at our four fitness centers in El Paso. Our full-access pass includes our indoor heated swimming pools, weight and cardio rooms, Zumba and other indoor and aquatic fitness classes. We have something for every member of the family!
Texas Veterans Commission subsidies are available for those who qualify and contingent upon funding availability from July 1, 2019-June 30, 2020
Funding is limited and offered on a first come, first served basis. This program is supported by a grant from the Texas Veterans Commission Fund for Veterans’ Assistance. The Fund for Veterans’ Assistance provides grants to organizations serving veterans and their families. For more information about the Texas Veterans Commission please visit www.tvc.texas.gov
