In response to the influx of migrants and refugees in our community, YWCA is asking for your support. We have heard from shelters and other service providers that menstrual hygiene products are desperately needed and YWCA is answering that call.
Here are three ways you can help:
- Drop off menstrual pads and/or tampons at YWCA’s Joyce Jaynes branch (1600 Brown)
- Donate funds for YWCA to purchase these items here
- Purchase items from an Amazon Wish List here
YWCA’s mission is to eliminate racism, empower women, and promote peace, justice, freedom, and dignity for all. By supporting YWCA and the El Paso community in this way, you are helping accomplish that mission and providing a more dignified and healthy experience to people in need.
Other ways to help:
- Volunteer: If you are interested in volunteering, sign up here and we will share with agencies who need volunteers: https://ywcaelpaso.volunteerhub.com/vv2/lp/mcs
- Coat drive: Paso del Norte Community Foundation is collecting coats to help members of the migrant community stay warm. You can learn more here: https://www.facebook.com/photo?fbid=520880783404261&set=a.332850765540598
- (If you would like to drop off a coat along with menstrual hygiene products, YWCA will ensure they are received!)
Thank you for helping YWCA provide critical products and dignity to these guests in our community!
