Marketing Specialist
JOB SUMMARY: 
The Marketing Specialist plays a key role in supporting the marketing team's efforts to execute successful marketing campaigns, drive brand awareness, and achieve business goals. This position involves coordinating various marketing activities, powerful storytelling, ensuring smooth communication between teams and community stakeholders, and contributing to the overall success of marketing and fundraising initiatives. Ensures the agency's mission and impact are effectively communicated to the target audience, ultimately contributing to the organization's success in the marketplace. Works with team, CEO, Marketing & Impacts Director, board members, committee members, and community partners to maintain a high standard of YWCA’s community reputation.
- Marketing Specialist uses the platform and voice of YWCA El Paso del Norte Region to promote diversity, inclusion, equity, and justice. Collaborates with various stakeholders to create a more just and equitable environment. 
- Campaign Coordination: Assist in the development and execution of marketing campaigns across various channels (digital, social media, print, events, etc.). Coordinate campaign timelines, deliverables, and deadlines to ensure projects are executed on time and within budget, and properly executed. 
- Content Creation and Management: Assist in the creation and editing of marketing content, including copywriting, graphics, videos, and other visual assets. Manage content calendars to ensure timely delivery and publication of marketing materials. Maintain consistent brand messaging. 
- Digital Marketing Management: Manage social media accounts, execute email marketing campaigns, oversee content scheduling and engagement, and support SEO and SEM initiatives to drive online visibility and lead generation. 
- Communications: Compose internal and external communications on behalf of the agency and various program areas 
- Marketing Analytics and Reporting: Track and analyze marketing campaign performance metrics, prepare reports on key performance indicators (KPIs), monitor ROI across channels, and provide insights for campaign optimization. 
- Basic Graphic Design Support: Create simple visual assets, including social media graphics, basic marketing materials, email templates, and presentation slides, using design software to support marketing initiatives when needed. 
- Brand Consistency and Guidelines: Assist with maintaining brand standards across all marketing materials and communications, ensure visual and messaging consistency, and support brand guideline development and implementation. 
- Collaborate with Marketing & Impacts Director and leadership to integrate social equity considerations into the organization's communications and marketing strategies. Assist in developing and executing communication plans to raise awareness of social equity efforts. 
- Market Research: Research to gather insights on target audiences, industry trends, and competitive landscape. Provide recommendations based on research findings to enhance marketing strategies. 
- Event and Promotion Coordination: Assist in planning and coordinating promotional events, community events, fundraising and donor events, webinars, and other marketing activities. 
- Budget Administration: Manage marketing-related administrative tasks such as budget tracking, invoice processing, and procurement of marketing materials. 
- Work closely with a graphic artist or Marketing & Impacts Director to provide copy for design pieces, design/proof and print Agency outreach materials. 
- Assists in writing and preparing and/or delivering information concerning the agency through newspapers, periodicals, television, radio, speeches and personal contacts. On call for situational media management as the need arises if supervisor is unavailable. 
- Becomes familiar with Agency accounting policies and procedures and assists in paperwork for and purchasing of items such as printed materials, promotional materials, etc. 
- Assists with client interviews and storytelling efforts. 
- Monitors the agency website to ensure it is current and regularly updated. 
- Assures compliance with YWCA of the USA Branding standards. 
- Maintains records including activity reports, summary reports and continuity correspondence for Marketing and Communications. 
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s Degree required with emphasis in marketing, graphic design, public relations, nonprofit management, and business, or related field preferred. 
- Three to five years of working experience in marketing and social media. 
- Previous graphic and visual design responsibilities preferred. 
- Willingness to embrace fast paced, high volume marketing needs of a robust community agency. 
- Be a self-starter and able to anticipate project needs, discern work priorities, and meet deadlines with minimal supervision. 
- Ability to be an effective project manager; lead by example, kindness and empathy, with a “can-do” work ethic. 
- Strong writing and editing skills in English required. Spanish reading, writing and verbal communication skills a plus. 
- Must have excellent communication and customer service skills as well as an exceptional eye for detail. 
- Deep understanding of digital marketing channels, marketing automation, CRM systems, and marketing analytics platforms. 
- Basic graphic design skills with proficiency in Canva, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator), or similar design software for creating simple marketing materials. 
- Hands-on experience with marketing technology stack including Google Analytics, marketing automation platforms (HubSpot, Marketo), CRM systems, and social media management tools. 
- Excellent interpersonal skills required, with ability to interact at all levels in a respectful, professional manner. 
- Must be organized and flexible, with the ability to manage multiple assignments in a busy work environment. 
- Hands-on computer skills required, including experience working with design software Microsoft Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel and Zoom. 
- Must have vehicle with required liability insurance and possess a valid driver’s license. 
- Must be flexible to work evening hours when required. 
- Other duties as assigned.
