JOB SUMMARY
The IT manager will report to the Chief Strategy Officer and will coordinate, plan, and provide support for computer-related activities in the organization. This position will help determine the IT needs of an organization and will be responsible for implementing computer systems to fulfill the organization’s information systems requirements to include communications systems.  The IT Manager establishes controls and system requirements to ensure the integrity and security of the agency’s technology  systems.                                                                          

EDUCATION
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in computer science preferred.  Four (4) years full-time experience in a diverse set of technologies required.

EXPERIENCE
One (1) additional year full-time experience in networking and Server/PC Administration may be substituted for degree, with minimum of 90 credit hours in computer science from an accredited university. Five (5) years supervisory experience preferred but not required.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS
Must have broad knowledge of business and data processing concepts.  Must possess an intermediate to advanced knowledge of, but not limited to, database and network administration, various scripting and programming languages, various networking and security technologies, and various software applications. Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.  Must be able to maintain a high degree of confidentiality of all information, reports, and other data or materials, ensuring that staff does the same.  Strong interpersonal skills required to establish and maintain effective relationships and be responsive and supportive with persons at all levels inside and outside the organization. Must be well-organized and able to prioritize, multi-task and manage heavy workloads, many times under pressure with constant interruptions. Must be willing to work evenings, weekends and be on-call as needed. Must have analytical ability and be detail oriented. Must be able to work independently and autonomously.  Must be able to make sound judgments, have excellent decision making skills, and possess strong conflict resolution skills. Must be able to travel throughout the region as needed. Must have access to personal vehicle and possess valid driver’s license and sufficient liability insurance.
