40+hrs. Mon –Fri 8:30am-5:30pm occasional evening and weekends

JOB SUMMARY
Under general direction, leads the development, implementation, and alignment of YWCA Educational Enrichment Programs Curriculum with a primary focus on development, enrichment and engagement of Pre-K and school age students. Works with YWCA Educational Programs Leadership and staff to design and implement lesson plans based on program needs and children’s developmental stages. Performs a variety of data analysis tasks in preparation for program evaluation and grant reporting to program funders.  Tracks Early Childhood Development Assessments and School Age Children attendance and grades data, analyzes data, and re-designs programming to address learning and developmental gaps. Responsible for implementing and monitoring Educational Programs’ Strategic Plan Goals and Objectives. Responsible for curriculum development and implementation in accordance with the Divisions’ strategies and objectives. This position is partly grant funded. Continuation of position is contingent upon the availability of grant funds.

EDUCATION
Bachelor’s degree in Education or closely related field required

EXPERIENCE
Two years of experience in a curriculum development, implementation, and evaluation role (e.g. tutoring, classroom instruction with youth learners helpful). Two years of experience in training and professional development.

Demonstrated excellence in improving children’s academic and developmental performance. Demonstrates a passion for Education and ability to inspire children to thrive and excel. Love of children, patience, stamina and flexibility required. Must be well organized and be able to handle multiple priorities. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as listening skills, required. Excellent interpersonal skills required, with ability to interact at all levels. Must be able to work under pressure with constant interruptions. Must be able to work independently and autonomously. Must be a self-starter, have creative energy, and be enthusiastic. Must be able to make sound judgments, have excellent decision making skills, and possess strong conflict resolution skills. Must be able to work other than regular scheduled hours. Bilingual capabilities in English/Spanish preferred. Must be familiar with operation of personal computer and have knowledge of MS Office software. Must have access to vehicle and possess valid driver’s license and sufficient liability insurance. Must acquire CPR, First Aid/SIDS, DFPS background check, FBI fingerprint and food management certifications prior to start of employment.  Must maintain these certifications throughout employment. If you have lived out of state in the past five years you are required to submit for criminal history and child abuse/neglect check for the different states you have resided in. Must supply physician statement of current negative TB test and freedom from communicable diseases.
