Curriculum and Family Engagement Director

JOB SUMMARY:
Under direction of the Administrator, manages all aspects of After School and Summer/Intersession Camp curriculum implementation and program/service evaluation across all school sites and camps; and leads community and family engagement events year round. Manages grants and contracts awarded to School Age Division in support of the mission of the organization. In coordination with Administrator, develops and oversees parent feedback and quality improvement surveys, program assessments, program site reviews and program outcome analysis. Reviews grant applications, leads grant programming, data tracking, and ensures compliance with funding and reporting. Additionally, coordinates billing and collection of funds from grants and contracts for YWCA School Age Programs and new initiatives related to expenditure activity, to ensure conformity to federal, state, local, or private rules, regulations, or contract commitments.

Is committed to working as a member of the School Age leadership team to assist the Administrators in accomplishing goals and results.
Manages Tutors/Innovation Leaders hired to meet contracts and scope of work and requirements.
Designs and implements systems for the purpose of Family Engagement programming and community learning opportunities.
Coordinates programs, events, and presentations, as requested, and provide targeted feedback and strategies to support and increase parent/ community engagement.
Measure family engagement and participation using a variety of assessment tools on a regular basis.
Actively develop and maintain relationship with families and community partners.
Create and distribute newsletters, emails, and other communications to keep families informed about events and programs.
Research, design, and implement innovative, evidence-based curriculum tailored to the developmental needs of children aged 4-17.
Lead coaching sessions to support staff in curriculum adaptation and problem-solving.
Use data from surveys and assessments to inform curriculum adjustments and program enhancements.
Provides staff on boarding and training, evaluates and terminates staff as needed in accordance with YWCA policies and procedures.
Takes periodic inventory of programming supplies and provides inventory reports to Administrators.
Designs and implements systems for the purposes of curriculum implementation, accountability, on-site monitoring and quality assurance. Responsible for curriculum training materials and facilitation of hands-on training workshops and coaching curriculum developmental sessions.
Develops and manages in coordination with Administrators parent feedback questionnaires, service quality improvement surveys, program assessments, program site reviews and produces program outcome methodology and analysis.
Becomes familiar with School Age Programs regulating agencies including but not limited to School Age State Minimum Standards, Texas Education Agency, Local Independent School Districts, Texas Rising Star Certification, City Ordinances, and more.
Develops relationships and ensures collaboration with key stakeholders.
Displays adherence to organization’s mission and values.
Develops program specific review/assessment protocols in collaboration with the program directors/administrators, manages and updates of contract/grants forms to include eligibility requirements, and related policies and procedures.
Maintains proficient knowledge of organization’s history and programs.
Assisting with the execution of development department's strategy.
Assists with purchasing and resource management for School Age Programs grants and contracts and facilitates sharing of resources throughout the Division.
Reviews and approves payroll records for assigned grants staff departments.
Performs other programming and accounting related tasks as assigned.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree in Education, Child Development, Social Work, Recreation, Business Management, or related field required. Master’s degree preferred.
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in curriculum design development and implementation experience, youth programming, or family engagement, preferably in an out-of-school time or afterschool setting or any equivalent combination of experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Proven experience in program planning and implementation for youth aged 4-17.
Experience in community collaboration and building partnerships with other organizations.
Two (2) years supervisory/management experience, or any equivalent combination of experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Must be proficient in billing procedures for all contract billings.
Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent interpersonal and listening skills required, with ability to interact at all levels.
Must be highly organized, able to handle multiple priorities, and able to work independently and autonomously as needed.
Must have analytical ability and be detailed oriented.
Must be able to work evenings or weekends, as needed, for family events and programs.
Must be able to travel locally to collaborate with community agencies or deliver services at multiple sites.
Must be able to establish and maintain a positive community image.
Must be flexible and able to work under pressure with interruptions.
Must possess creative energy, be a self-starter, require minimal supervision, and be able to work individually and as a member of a team.
Must be able to make sound judgments and possess strong conflict resolution skills.
Hands-on personal computer skills required, including experience working with Microsoft Word, Access, Excel and PowerPoint software required.
Bilingual capabilities in English/Spanish a plus.
Must have access to vehicle and possess valid driver's license and sufficient liability insurance.
Must acquire CPR, First Aid, and food management certification prior to hire. DFPS background check and FBI fingerprint prior to start of employment. Must maintain these certifications throughout employment.
