YWCA partners with United Way and Family Resiliency Center

Categories: News

YWCA has partnered with The United Way of El Paso County and El Paso United Family Resiliency Center (FRC) to provide immediate relief in response to the August 3rd tragedy in our community. FRC serves any individual impacted by the trauma of August 3rd –directly or indirectly. This includes children, seniors, families, and individuals.

The FRC and these YWCA classes are open to any member of the El Paso community who may feel the need to participate in healing activities as a result of trauma induced by the tragedy.

As part of the non-traditional therapies offered to help boost the effectiveness of traditional therapies, YWCA is offering FREE YWCA memberships for those who qualify and free movement-based healing sessions at each of our locations. These weekly sessions are offered to provide a resource that has been proven to reduce symptoms of anxiety, depression, and negative feelings. The schedule for these classes is below:

Cardio Strength: Katharine White Harvey Branch (313 Bartlett) at 5:30pm Wednesdays

Cardio Tone: Shirley Leavell Branch (10712 Sam Snead) at 6 pm Tuesdays

Cardio Tone: Dorothy Woodley Hunt Branch (115 N. Davis) at 9 am Tuesdays

Yoga: Joyce Jaynes Branch (1600 Brown) at 5:30 pm Tuesdays
