Military Support


The YWCA provides guidance and support that helps families to regain a sense of normalcy through a network of programs and services available throughout various YWCA locations. Many YWCA services and programs are offered at a discounted rate to military members and their families.

The YWCA is proud to provide a wide array of programs to serve our El Paso Military community:

Early Learning Academies Children enrolled in any of our 14 YWCA Early Learning Academies throughout El Paso are welcomed into a caring environment that incorporates best practices for child care and promotes the academic, social and physical development of each child.

Child Care Services (CCS) funded by the Upper Rio Grande Workforce Development Board, supports the work and training activities of low income families by providing financial assistance for childcare.

Economic Empowerment Services

  • Homebuyer education classes for prospective and new  homeowners
  • Housing counseling in order to address the growing crisis in the housing and mortgage industries
  • Credit and money management counseling for families and individuals, including debt management plans
  • Money management education programs - made possible with funding from the creditor industry
  • Community outreach sessions
