Caring for Children

The YWCA El Paso del Norte Region’s childcare and early education programs promote child development and school readiness, and empower parents to obtain and retain employment. We strive to provide education and care that will help children succeed personally and academically.

Early Learning Academies
The YWCA Early Learning Academies focus on quality care and education for children from Birth to 5 years old. With accredited locations in all 5 branches throughout the city – children follow a stimulating curriculum to challenge and prepare them for school.

After School Care
YWCA After School Programs offer parents peace of mind when their child is out of school for the day. Children start their homework assignments, receive healthy snacks and tutoring, and enjoy games, crafts, and out door activities.

Summer Camp and Summer Care Programs
We offer two summer camp options for parents. Our Summer Camp, for children ages 6-12, is a full day indoor/outdoor camp program held at our beautiful Mary Ann Dodson Camp facility in the Upper Valley. Activities include swimming, games, crafts, sports, science and more.

We also offer licensed Summer Care programs, for children ages Birth-12, at all five of our branches. These camps feature indoor and outdoor activities, games, swimming, arts and crafts, language experiences, field trips and other special activities designed to enrich children's out-of-school experiences.
