Financial literacy is an essential element for life-long independence, autonomy, and freedom. The YWCA El Paso del Norte Region offers financial literacy training, from budget basics to retirement planning. Our Economic Empowerment Division offers the community a partnership for long-term personal and financial success. The programs offered are designed to help girls, women and the entire community achieve self-sufficiency, economic stability and financial health. With the help of a professional empowerment counselor, you will set personal goals to begin your journey toward financial security. Work one-on-one with an empowerment counselor for:

The YWCA also offers financial counseling for military service members, veterans, and their dependents. Counseling and education classes addressing the special needs of the military, former military, and their family members are offered throughout the community.
The YWCA’s Economic Empowerment Division is a housing counseling agency approved by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) – is working in partnership with the U.S. Department of the Treasury, NeighborWorks® America and more than 700 housing counseling agencies across the country to help homeowners complete application materials for the program free-of-charge and successfully submit them to their mortgage company.
